Tucson, part 1 - The Vegan Twist
As some of you may know, I’m in Tucson! Tucson to me is home – this is where I went to high school and then university, it’s where my friends and family live and it holds so many memories for me. We’re here for a while, so even though this is a Leicester blog, I wanted to share some of my adventures with you (both culinary and otherwise). Here is a snapshot of some of the shenanigans we’ve been up to, as well as some of the really fantastic vegan food we’ve been stuffing our faces with (Tucson is incredibly vegan-friendly). Our plane food on United was ok – we had a soy “chicken” green curry. I prefer the vegan Indian curries we normally get, but this was not too bad. The first couple days in Tucson we had torrential rain. Bad for us, great for the desert and anyone who lives here year round. Our first meal back consisted of tacos (obviously), and I may have gone a bit crazy at the salsa bar. Vegan breakfast burritos!
