One thing you should know about me is that I LOVE Indian food. Absolutely, 100%, crazy, stupidly love a good curry. That, coupled with the fact that I live in Leicester which is made up of a large Asian population (somewhere around 50%) means that I will be reviewing Indian restaurants often. And tonight I’m taking a look at Feast.
Feast India is a buffet. Now normally I am hugely opposed to buffets, but there is something really nice about Feast. For starters, the food options are really varied and great for vegetarians. The entire center of the restaurant consists of different stations of food, including ones for biryani, traditional curries, starters, kebabs, vegetarian curries and Chinese food. There are also stations around the outside of the main food area including a salad bar, dessert station and my favorite, a station that does dosas on demand. You can even find a small pizza station and chips for those picky guests you may find yourself with. One other thing I like about this place that is different from other buffets is that they are not afraid of a bit of spice, and every time we go the veggie options are different than the time before.
I’m not sure if any of the dishes are vegan, but I’m planning to ask so will update you with what I find out. However, if you’re a vegetarian you are really spoilt for choice here. I have never left this restaurant anything other than stuffed to the gills and hurting slightly inside (it’s a good hurt, I promise!).
The restaurant is always, always packed, even on a random Tuesday night. So if you do plan to go and don’t like queuing for your food, I would recommend going there around 6pm when it opens. That’s what we do 😉

*EDIT* I have eaten at Feast since going vegan (this post was when I was still veggie/vegan), and they state on the dish labels if something has dairy or eggs in it.
