Will you go vegan for January?

November 18, 2014

You’ve no doubt heard about the various movements that have adopted a calendar month to promote their cause such as Movemeber, Stoptover, etc. but have you heard about Veganuary?

Started in 2013, Veganuary was created as a way to encourage people try try veganism for just one month to see how they felt by the end, and hopefully get people to extend it beyond those 4 weeks. In November this year Veganuary launched its new website as a resource to those who are planning to go vegan for January or who are just curious about what it means to be vegan. The site includes recipes, eating out guides, profiles (both celebrities and normal folk like you and me), myths, tips and more – everything you could possibly need in one place to get educated and motivated to try something new for the month of January.

I was approached by Veganuary to contribute to their campaign with a few of my own recipes, and I am happy to be a part of a movement that I feel can really make a difference. You can see my profile and recipes here.

We know that eating animals and animal products is detrimental to the environment, our health and the well-being of animals, so why not take the pledge to go vegan for January in 2015?

If you’re still not convinced, check out this funny video by 5 comedians on why they think you should take the pledge.
